CAD areas

Fill the required areas with the AutoCAD hatches (use the hatching pattern SOLID) and each of them assign a label (normal AutoCAD block with attributes) using the areamanager module.

These labels will automatically take over the values of area surface and perimeter of the hatched areas. They can contain the attributes with various information on areas (information on rooms for example: their numbers, names, paving, …).

areamanager guarantees a permanent link between hatches and their labels.

When modifying an area (hatch) using the standard AutoCAD commands, the values of area surface and perimeter in the corresponding labels will dynamically update.

Management

Using the areamanager module you can create a database of your labels in the Microsoft Access format. The link between labels and hatches allows you to edit the labels as well as the corresponding hatches. According to your needs you can edit database or drawings using the commands of AutoCAD.
You can change any property of a fill (hatch) and of the corresponding label (color, layer, text properties: style, height etc.) directly in the database environment. This way you can create various graphical displays of the area information to meet arbitrary database criteria. You can make everything simply by one-click of a mouse, for more drawings at the same time, and without opening them in AutoCAD. You can edit the area specification, mark graphically the selected areas or by zooming find immediately the required area in the respective drawing.

area manager

The standard AutoCAD hatches form the basis of your CAD areas. The hatches yield a clear overview of all displayed areas and contain all necessary geometrical data (even for very complex areas).

Database, room lists and other documents on the areas

You can further process all your data on CAD areas in Microsoft Access. Microsoft Access yields powerful tools for individual solutions. Using data of your CAD areas you can create any database selections and queries, room lists, various forms and documents, as well as relations with other databases.

The area specifications (labels) can be also edited in the MS Access program and updated by one-click of a mouse in all respective drawings.
